Coole Turloughs and Teas (11am– 2pm)
A walk with an NPWS guide to explore the remarkable natural features and wetland plants of Coole Lough – a turlough with the largest range in water level fluctuation of any turloughs in Ireland, followed by lunch, tea/ coffee at Coole Park Tea Rooms

An Afternoon with Wild Rose at the Burren Perfumery (2-4pm)
The Burnet Rose blooming in May provides the inspiration for the Perfumery’s newest fragrance Wild Rose. During this interactive talk you be introduced to the intriguing world of how perfumes are created, learn about olfactory families, and have an opportunity to smell the beautiful natural raw ingredients used in its formulation. Rose themed refreshments will be provided.

Burren in Bloom - Opening and Welcome Evening (7:30- 9pm)
At this informal opening session of Burren in Bloom we celebrate our natural world with an introduction to the Burren flora and its conservation and a talk on ‘Latvian meadows in bloom: nature and people’ with guest speaker Solvita Rūsiņa, LIFE IP LatViaNature and. Butterfly Walk with Jesmond Harding (10am– 12am)
A Walk in one of Ireland’s premier butterfly sites, containing four of the six most threatened butterfly species in Ireland and four of the five “near threatened” species, led by butterfly expert Jesmond Harding.

The Hare’s Corner Pond Visit with Feidhlim Harty (10am– 12pm)
Feidhlim works as an advisor to Burrenbeo’s Hare's Corner Ponds project. In this visit he will host participants at his own pond to discuss simple tips for creating ponds for wildlife. He will suggest ideas on construction, design, perimeter planting, and explore flora and fauna that may be present.

Children's Art Workshop with Gordon D’Arcy (2pm– 3:30pm)
Learn how to draw some of the Burren's beautiful wildlife with wildlife artist Gordon D’Arcy. Suitable for 6 – 12-year-olds (Please bring your own paper, pencils and colours!)

Lichen Walk with Paul Whelan and Jenni McGuire (2pm– 4pm)

Caher Bridge Garden Visit with Carl Wright (2pm– 4pm)
A guided walk and visit to the stunning Caher Bridge Garden in the company of its creator, gardener Carl Wright. Carl who has a background in ecology has been developing his unique garden near Fanore for over 20 years, a garden that blends harmoniously into the surrounding landscape and supports the native flora and fauna. Keynote talks by Jesmond Harding and Richard Nairn (7pm– 9pm)
Join us for Burren in Bloom keynote talks at Burren College of Art Ballyvaughan where we will hear from butterfly expert and author Jesmond Harding on 'Irish butterflies - their foodplants, habitats and how they are coping with a changing climate'; and ecologist and author Richard Nairn on the 'Magic Ireland's native woodlands' and his own experience of managing a native woodland in Co.Wicklow. Burren in Bloom Walk - Return to the Winterage with McCormack family (10am– 1pm)
A Walk with Burren Programme ecologists and the McCormacks to revisit the route of Cattle Drive 2021 and explore the wonderful floral diversity made possible by the practice of Winterage on this farm. This is a 4km walk with a significantly steep climb, some of which on uneven farmland terrain. Start Location: near Boston, exact location to be emailed to ticket holders. Bugs and Blooms Family Fun (11am – 1pm)
An outdoor family event where participants can spend a fun filled morning investigating the bugs and blooms of the Burren with Burrenbeo staff. Recommended age 8+

Burren Slow Food Festival (Fri 20th – Sun 22nd May)
Slow Food Clare, are collaborating with the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark and the Burren Ecotourism Network to deliver a diverse line up of events in the region aimed at highlighting the connections between local food, geological heritage and the livelihoods of the people who live in the Geopark.
