The Curious World of Insects with Lisa Clancy, 7:30-8:30pm, Sat 3rd May, Kinvara Community Centre
Join us for a celebration of the rich, often surprising, and entertaining lives of insects with nature enthusiast and insect photographer Lisa Clancy for this special Burren in Bloom evening talk. Doors open at 7pm for refreshments and the talk will begin at 7:30pm.

Dawn Chorus Walk with Gordon D'Arcy, 6am, Sun 4th May, Ballyvaughan
Join ornithologist and wildlife artist Gordon D'Arcy on an early morning bird walk.

Join National Parks and Wildlife Service ranger and guides on an early morning walk filled with birdsongs and tips on how to identify birds.

Learn how to draw some of the Burren's beautiful wildlife with wildlife artist Gordon D’Arcy. Suitable for 6 – 12-year-olds (Please bring your own paper, pencils and colours!)

'Ants in Ireland – and the Burren' with John Breen

Ants are very important in ecosystems. This talk will provide a brief introduction to ants, an overview of the ecology of Irish ants, and then concentrate on those you might see in the Burren – this includes their interactions with plants and an interesting relationship with a hoverfly. John Breen is a zoologist, and a retired professor from University of Limerick. His PhD study was on Irish wood ants. He is also interested in bees and wasps.

'Step into Nature – Flora and Fauna from May to June' - with Rachel McKenna
Discover the wonders of nature around you in the weeks ahead by simply slowing down, listening, and observing - wonders which fill us with awe when we learn of their complexities and stay with you, long after the seasons change! Rachel McKenna is a dedicated naturalist and author who has spent the last five years passionately observing, recording, photographing, and drawing a diverse range of Irish wildflowers, insects, and mammals. Doors open and kettle will be on from 7:30pm for a cuppa and talk will begin at 8pm at Tubber hall. All welcome, suggested donation of 5 euros for the upkeep of the hall.

Join National Parks and Wildlife Service for a 48hr-Bioblitz fun. Learn from experts about the wildlife that surrounds us, record your own species and share it to become a citizen scientist.
